Tada... its story time !

I have worked in bunch of companies in different profiles of IT for the last 10 years, but one thing I enjoyed doing is party planning. I don't even remember when I developed the zest for it. With bit of planning I can easily take the stage to manage group of strangers and conduct team building/fun games.

I have a crazy thought that someday I would make big money, and invite you all for a get together, a complete paid trip from where ever you are, to back and forth of the venue. I would also host a party with such fun games. Someday! Ok, for now let’s play something limited to the facilities of virtual world.

“The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself.” – Alan Alda.

That's exactly what we are going to do, GET CREATIVE. And any creation needs an inspiration. So have a look at these photos before we begin, ready?

I have uploaded 10 pictures in this post, using which you will create a story.
You need to use at least 5 out of 10 pictures.
Each picture is numbered from 1 to 10 which can be used to tell your story.

An example would be something like this: ( the number represents the photo used in the scene)

8. In a small village, lived a poor girl named Mary.
10. Her ambition was to become an actress.
1,4. During carnival in her town, she put on her best clothes and danced beautifully.
6. A producer saw her talent and invited her to the city. She felt like a bird out of the cage.
7. Her first movie became instant hit, it told a story of a mountain climber.
3. Then she fell in love with the stunt man named James in her 4th movie.
2. They dated for sometime and soon James proposed to her.
9. They got married and lived a happy life with two kids. The End!

Unearth your creative side and get wild with imagination. I would send a personalised painting to the individual, who writes the most creative story. I love each one of you, so I am going to have my love pick the Winner. I would publish the best story and the winner by Friday next tuesday.

Update :
Since many have requested until weekend, I am more than happy to extend the deadline :)
You may either post it as comment and/or send it to me at nasrivatsan@gmail.com by Sunday.
I cant wait to read your stories, All the best! :P

Here goes my part of the story :)

10. During her recent medical checkup they found that she had been affected by cancer. she completely broke down after hearing the news.
2. He was there with her giving her confidence and continuous support
3. Doctors had a tough fight with cancer but they said they need to do a bone marrow transplantation to cure her completely(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bone_marrow_transplant)
4. Fate laughed at them sarcastically
8. After a great deal of searching they found this wonderful lady who was ready to donate her bone marrow to save her family from poverty
6. After almost 6 months of hospitalization she was completely cured and discharged. She was so happy to start another new episode of her life
7. He celebrated her arrival as a grand festival
8. And they lived happily ever after :)

2. He sat silently praying for an answer to his turmoil, his sweaty palms clenched.
1. Outside the din was deafening – his wife danced with abandon as the whole village celebrated the spring festival.
9. They had always appeared to be the perfect family.
4. But the voice in his head laughed and mocked at this lie of a life.
8. The promises that he had broken to his first, only legal wife, who bore him his first child, a baby girl, when he was but a student backpacking in Sri Lanka.
6. The wife who loved him so much that she set him free to return to his own world.
10. Today his daughter turns 25 – did she grow up to be beautiful as her mother?
5. With two lovely families, he was all alone in the world with his lies weighing heavily on his shoulders.
7. Life was an uphill struggle and he could climb no more
6. (recycled) He prayed to be set free once more.

@ Kalyani

Thanks for visiting writing the interesting story:)

@ Deep
welcome here and glad you wrote a hearty story. For the sake of others can you/AJCL please translate it in english ?

my hindi is not that good to do translations :)
Sri/Deep my translation- Im highly vetti today, hence all this.. Of course i will not be able to do justice to the basic premise of the poem as what i have attempted is transliteration.. had u understood hindi, it would have made a good read..

har ek jeevan hai ek kahani
(every life is a story)
par ye sachai sabne na jani
(but no body realises this truth)
jo pana hai vo khona hai
(you gain, u loose)
4.is pal hasna fir rona hai
(you laugh sometimes, u cry at others)

8.ik nirdhan ki ik bitiya thi,
(there was a poor man's daughter)
unki chhoti si duniya thi
(they had a small world, they called their own)

1.din beet chale beeta bachpan
(days passed and so did chidhood)
6.us gudiya pe aya yauvan
youth dawned on the little girl (doll)
yauvan ki masti ne
(Frivolous youth)
usko raah bhula di
(led her to stray)
7.pag fisal gaya
(a slip here)
vo chikh padi
(a scream there)
unchai se khayi me giri
(she fell from the heights and hit rock bottom)
murjha gai vo fulon ki rani
(she withered, the queen of flowers)
par ye sachai sabne na jani
(but everyone knew the truth)

3.ik shehjada a pahuncha vahan
(a Prince wandered there)
tab jake bachi ladki ki jaan
(that is when the girl's life was saved)
2.use bahon me le pyar kiya
(they fell in love instantly)
9.singar diya gharbaar diya
(everything materialistic was sacrificed)
sapnon ki bagiya me
(in the garden of dreams)
pyara ful khila tha
(the flowers of love bloomed)

10.fir pal bhar me badli chhayi
(in a flash, change happened)
barkha bijli andhi ayi
(there was rain, thunder and storm)
pal pal duaen mange bechari
(every minute she asked for salvation)
par ye sachai sabne na jani
(but everyone knew the truth)
jag ke malik meri hai khata,
(O lord the follies are mine)
mere apne kyun payen saja
(Y are my dear ones, paying the price)
mere ram se mai kahun kaisebata,
(will pass this line)
jhutha hun ber mai shabri ka
(this too)
mujhko tu koi asi raah dikha de
(show me light)
meri mamta me ilzaam na ho,
(i hope motherhood isnt tarnished)
sindur mera badnaam na ho
(i hope my sindoor isnt tarnished)

5.samjhe koi meri bezubaani...
(i hope some one understands the pain, all my wordless thoughts)

3. He had a lovely family. His father was a kick-boxer
4. His mother was an actress
9. He also had an elder sister to add colours to his childhood. He had always felt blessed to be a part of this beautiful family.
10. As years went by, his sister took up her mom's profession and became a beautiful actress
6. He on the other side, with his parent's permission, walked out of his comfortable home to quench his thirst for trecking.
8. Before leaving, he went to meet his lover and assured her that he would be back soon.
7. In few years, as a result of his strong determination and hardwork, he became a professional mountaineer. He also made a world record by managing to climb Everest in just 10 hours.
