The beach dog

We all need to be the beach dog!

No no I am not scolding you. I learnt a wonderful message from the dog in the beach. And the fact that I have not wrote a blog in months reminded me to jot down it here :)

It was last day of last year Ganesh (my friend) and I decided to watch sunrise on the marina beach. I do this once in a while as a ritual to connect myself to the nature.

It was very cold dark (at six am) , we parked the vehicle and jogged for few mins in the sands. Jogging at six in the morning , mmm too much for a guy like me, come on I am 27 and I need to sit at comfortable chair and watch tv and not jogging :)

As we slogged and sat at the edge of the sand, chill breeze waved gently on our face. Wow I am totally into breeze now a days. Sun seemed to take some time, kind of last minute sleep before it rose. Well coming to the point, there came a dog which seemed to be healthy , so I am assuming its getting good food.

Weird enough it came and sat next to us feeling very comfortable and it seemed to project the feeling that we are its owner. When it got our attention , it was very happy. It started smelling us waving its tail, looking up and down. I started talking to it " well it cant work between us, I mean u are dog and I am man :) " we did not had anything to offer to it to eat. Neverthless it seemed to be very happy. The sun started to rise and we can see a row of people like us get mesmerized by the beautiful sun rise. The fishermen were starting to move thier boats, it was like PC sriram and maniratnam combination.

Now that the dog lost our attention , it slowly rose and jogged and sat next to a english lady near us. She didnot care for it, but the dog as usual comfortable and sat next to her as she is it's owner.

I really felt nice about the dog, It seemed to project endless love , and didnot care much about recieving back, and if it does receive it seemed to reciprocate in its own way. i suddenly felt that it was one of my life defining moments, It was a moment to learn a valueble lesson.

Give love freely, unconditional , undemanding endless love. If it comes back to you reciprocate in your own way, and if it doesnot never mind, move on... I am sure we all could learn something from the beach dog.
